Tonight I was working late and got a call from a friend who said he had a spare ticket to the see the Kings of Leon.

The Kings of Leon

Believe it or not, those specks in the distance are the Kings of Leon. It was a good gig, although the Plymouth Pavilions tried their best to screw everything up with their usual mashed up, non-descript sound. Well I guess that's what you get for holding a gig in a glorified cow shed.

Who Should You Vote For?

Your expected outcome:

Liberal Democrat

Your actual outcome:

Labour 7
Conservative -2
Liberal Democrat 41
UKIP 3
Green 47

You should vote: Green

The Green Party, which is of course strong on environmental issues, takes a strong position on welfare issues, but was firmly against the war in Iraq. Other key concerns are cannabis, where the party takes a liberal line, and foxhunting, which unsurprisingly the Greens are firmly against. The Greens are also anti-Europe.

Take the test at Who Should You Vote For

Well this was kind of what I was expecting...

Wednesday, April 13, 2005

Well I've finally got around to moving the server this blog is hosted on. Life's been so busy, what with buying a house, moving offices, spending a fortune on furniture etc., I've not really thought about it, but hopefully now I can actually update more often.

Proper post coming soon, but I thought I'd just use this little entry to check everything is working.

LogExplorer Update 1.1.1

See... I said I'd get an update out soon! The next day is pretty good going I reckon...

It's only a small update to LogExplorer, but hopefully it will sort out most of the problems that I've been seeing recently. Here's what's new and what's fixed:
  • FIX: Problem where LogExplorer would not find logs automatically when they are stored in your Documents and Settings folder.

  • NEW: Added the ability to create a list of folders where you would like LogExplorer to look for Logs. This allows you to also include any moved or archived logs in the treeview.

Now all I need to do is sort out the uni-code problems... So if anyone has experience in working with uni-code in VB, and in particular the Rich Text Control, I'd appreciate some info.

Website Redesign

The eagle eyed among you will notice that I've given the website a bit of a make over. I've had a few sites knocking around the internet and thought it would be a good idea to bring them all together under one name.

The iNet-Tabs domain has been sat around fairly dormant, since I had to admit to myself that I'd never get the time to put any real work into the project, so I thought I'd take an old site design (that I've always quite liked) and give the domain a bit of life again. Unfortunately this doesn't mean iNet-Tabs will be revived, although I do seem to get emails weekly from people asking me to continue with it, but the domain will diversify a little and become more of a personal home page.

And whilst I'm on the subject of having no spare time, all those people mailing me about Trillian LogExplorer, an update is coming... honest...

New Blogging Tool

I'm just trying out this new blogging tool (well not that new... just new to me.) It's called w.bloggar and can be downloaded at www.wbloggar.com

I do promise to do a real post soon... hopefully... but I've got an eye infection in both eyes at the moment so everything's a little blurry.
